- The CDC (Centres for Disease Control) in Atlanta, Georgia, has released their statistics on a person's risk factor for contracting HIV from various sex acts while having unprotected sex with someone he does not know well: _ Receiving oral sex: 1 in 200,000 _ Giving oral sex: 1 in 100,000 _ Giving insertive vaginal sex: 1 in 10,000 _ Receiving insertive vaginal sex: 1 in 5,000 _ Giving insertive anal sex: 1 in 8,500 _ Receiving insertive anal sex: 1 in 2,000 Your chances of contracting HIV are non-existent if your partner does not have HIV, and almost nil if you do not have high-risk factors such as bleeding gums, genital lesions or cuts, or a low immune system due to drug use. |
